They can be about community, love, presence, healing, and remembering what genuinely matters. You are not responsible for every argument, every disagreement, or every emotional reaction around you. Everything is not your assignment. You are allowed to say, “I love you, but I do not want to have this conversation,” and protect your peace. You do not need anyone’s permission to rise. You do not need anyone’s validation to become who God created you to be. You do not have to keep shrinking so other people feel comfortable.
I refuse to dim my light anymore—and neither should you.
